A.P.E. would like to announce its next strength and conditioning class that will be taking place this summer. The class will run for 5 weeks (spread over 7) and begins on Tuesday, June 12th and ends on Thursday, July 26th. Classes will run on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays and will have a 1:30-2:30pm AND 2:30-3:30pm section with a cost of $450 (please be sure to declare which time frame you prefer when signing up as they will be filled based on order of response). Classes will be limited to 10 athletes, and time slots will be filled on a first come first serve basis. The more frequent four day split routine will allow for maximal effort in the weight room without over-taxing the athletes due to shorter individual lifting sessions. Each session will last one hour with a focus on maintaining strength, power, range of motion and flexibility as well as injury prevention. Baseball U athletes that signed up for this class in the fall and made their deposit will receive a 15% discount (final balance after $50 deposit and discount is $332.50). Please do not feel that because your son/daughter may have practices or games scheduled on some of the class days that they cannot still make great gains with this class. Staying in the weight room is essential to maintaining strength, improving performance, and staying healthy over the long summer season. We will work to adjust training volume/intensity on days in which players also have games so that they may have time to recover and perform at a high level during those games. I will also discuss routines that may be done during the weeks where there are no classes, so that athletes can continue working out on their own (with minimal to no equipment needed). Contact Ben Gaal directly at 447-9759 or firstname.lastname@example.org to register. Please do not hesitate to call with questions regarding the class or if you have issues with scheduling (especially the first week as some kids will still be in school), as we can often work around many situations.
Program has been completed. Check back in the winter for the Off-Season session.

Wake Forest Baseball and APE Strength Training
Wake Forest starting pitcher Mike Pirro spent his winter break throwing at the CNY Baseball Warehouse and working out with APE Strength Training. Taking advantage of the training facility allowed the standout sophomore to prepare for the upcoming season. We wish Mike the best and look forward to following the former Baseball U star as he battles through another season in the ACC.
Oswego State Baseball Endorses APE Strength Training
Scott Landers, Oswego State Head Baseball Coach
December 20, 2012
Ben is a young, energetic Strength and Conditioning Coach who takes pride in his work. In my two years at Oswego State, we have used the APE Strength Training Program that has benefited our athletes immensely. Ben's sport specific program has shown to make our players much stronger physically and noticeably faster while maintaining the flexibility to perform at the highest level. The APE program is outstanding for any level athlete who is committed to being the best. I would recommend any baseball player who wants to play at the next level to use Ben and his abilities.
Le Moyne College Baseball
November 28, 2012
Greetings from the Heights,
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We have just finished our workouts for the fall semester and I am extremely happy with where we are at this point. It is now time for the student-athletes to buckle down and get ready for the stretch run of classes and finals. We are very proud of our accomplishments in the classroom as we received the “NE-10 Team Academic Excellence” award last season for the highest team GPA in the conference. We are striving for another great semester in the classroom and to repeat as award winners for the following semester.
On the baseball side of things, the fall season was a great success. The new additions have fit in very well and the team chemistry looks good. The guys have been working out very hard in the weight room and it shows as they are in great physical shape at this point. We would like to give a special thanks to Ben Gaal, a former player here at Le Moyne, who is a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist at APE Strength Training located in the CNY Baseball Warehouse (www.cnybaseballwarehouse.com). Ben has worked with our team the past few years and we have seen great improvements in this area of our program.
There will be some battles for starting spots as the spring season gets under way that should be fun to watch. The guys will have to continue to work very hard over break to be ready to go when they arrive back on campus in January. We will only have a few weeks to prepare before we head to North Carolina for our first game against Mount Olive. We are looking forward to another exciting season ahead.
